Hi. I’m an 18 year old teen. Recently obtained my drivers license. But I can’t drive yet because I don’t have car insurance. I was wondering how long it usually takes to get car insurance as a teen. From researching it tells me it may take as short as 3 days and as long as 7 days. (Business days only of course). I’ve been waiting for around. 11 business days. Is that normal?

My drivers license expires in a couple of weeks. My wife is listed as an occasional driver on my car insurance. Can she still drive my car if my drivers license expires?
I travel a lot and wont be able to renew it in time. I will have to renew it when I finally make it back, and hopefully they wont make me take the driving tests again!

I am living in NYC and I’m almost 21 and im planning to get a car pretty soon and by that time i will be 21 but i just got my drivers license. And the car i’ll be getting will probably be a 2006 honda civic. So, how much would a car insurance cost me per month?

If your over 18 and just getting your drivers license, but don’t have your own car, how does the insurance work? Using a relative’s car. How does this work?
So I could just go take my drivers test, using my brother’s car, and not need to get any of my own insurance. Would my brother’s insurance go up?

I’d like to be able to drive the day I get my license, but my parents don’t want to add me to their insurance plan beforehand with the possibility of me failing the exam. Is their any kind of grace period that allows me to drive the day I get my license so I can wait until after I complete the test to purchase insurance?
