I get my license tomorow and my dad was planning on letting me use his car Friday. His insurance covers the driver of the car, but then other insurance policys are saying that I need to be under the insurance, if I am in the home. I don’t live with him. So does he still need to add me to the insurance, since I don’t live in the home?

I’m getting my first car in a few weeks, and we’re going to ass it to my parents’ insurance. They have a car and a van, and I wonder what the difference would be to add my volkswagon new beetle-to-be to their plan.

My goal is to budget 0 to the car each month for payments and insurance. Do i have the right idea? (payment 0-200 hopefully) That’ll leave me 0 give or take spending and saving.

I have looked at quotes, but geico asks for the social security number and I’m thinking "umm… no?" Besides, as I said, I’m adding onto my parents’ and I don’t even know what company they use. I s’pose I will deal, I’m sure it can’t be more than 0 in the difference… I hope. I’m getting the car with an 00budget, set by self using calculators to figure monthly payments. My dad has his car that he financed and it was like 2.5 percent so the 7.39% I used in all the calculators will mean an even lower payment.

My Dad wants me to sell my brand new dodge charger srt8 because the insurance agency is asking for an extra 00 dollars. I have never had a speeding ticket and my record is spotless. But they’re still charging that much extra. I live in an area where the teenagers get into a lot of car accidents when they have sports cars. could this be a reason? Also I’m 17 if that could help you in any way.

i’m planning to buy a car next year.
it will cost around 11000 and i’m planning to downpay 5000.
so 6000 left.
and my dad wants to pay that 6000 with his credit card so he can put the car under liability instead of full coverage.
our family has 2 cars each under my parents’ names.
so what is the best way to lower the insurance for me
i’m 21 yrs old guy no accidents or tickets.
our insurance company said it would be about 1600/yr for me..

He said they dont fax the insurance card and only mail it. I told him they will or they will let your print it at home and he said that they wouldnt. He wont listen.

So anyways, how long will it take for the card to come in the mail? Todays thursday.

ok so we have state farm. I will be driving in a couple of months. I want to get my dad as primary on my car so I can pay less, but he is already primary on another car, just like my mom is. So is there a car insurance company that will allow my dad to be a primary on more than one car? Because you are not allowed to do that with State Farm. Thanks!
