I am 27 and just recently got my license. I know my insurance is going to be high regardless but I am looking into cars and was wondering what type of car would be cheaper for me to have insurance on? Should it be a 4 cylinder? Antilock brakes? A certain color? Alarm system? Are some cars higher than others? I would like to get either a honda civic or mitsubishi eclipse (my dream car). I’m just worried that the insurance is going to be through the roof. If those cars are going to be high, what kind of car would you reccommend?

I live with my girlfriend and we both obviously have our own cars and car insurance on our own. Should I add her as a driver of my vehicle just in case something happens when she is driving? I asked my company and they asked if she drove it more than 12 times a year. In the instance of an accident, there is obviously no way they would know if she drove it once or 100 times that year – so are we adequately covered if I do not add her?

His insurance covers the driver of the car, but then other insurance policys are saying that I need to be under the insurance, if I am in the home. I don’t live with him. He’ll be using our car. He will drive to and from work. We have a 1988 Lincoln Mark VII.
He will take driving lessons which might take 10% off the insurance
