Will my car insurance cover me for a brief rental AFTER I’ve sold my own car?

I just sold my car and am going to rent one temporarily until I move out of town on the 16th. Can I delay turning in my tags until that date so that my car insurance continues to cover me for the rental?

The rental on auto policys is only for disablement of your vehicle, Not because you sold your car and are without a ride.
Sorry
Yes, that rental is a temporary substitute vehicle.
Oh, I’m assuming you’re not looking for the insurance policy to PAY for the rental, just for the liability to carry over.
Not to be rude, why don’t you call and ask THEM? Do you want to be on the hook for tens of thousands of dollars if they deny your claim and all you got is “Well, the internet told me it was ok”?
I think the above two are confused and think you want the insurance to pay for your rental. But you just want liability/collision coverage, don’t you?
