My parents won’t even consider getting me insurance because they think it’s too expensive.
I’m a girl, 16, gonna be 17 in October, and have above 3.0 GPA
My car is a 1996 (i think?) toyota camry.

You have a car without insurance?
…or is it your parents car?
They think it’s too expensive?
What is to think?
Call the insurance company and find out! They’ll be more than happy to tell you (or your parents) how much it’ll cost to add you to the policy.
It could be that they already called, but are finding excuses cause they don’t want you driving yet.
Show (don’t tell!) them how grown up you are.
I don’t think a 3.0 GPA qualifies for a goos student discount, but you can and should assume it does till you find out otherwise.
Good luck.
I would suggest that you get a quote with as many companies as possible such as Safeco, Mercury, Geico, and also go trough a small insurance agency
Well, its really different for everyone. Some companies might be cheaper for different people. It’s good that you are going to be driving an older car and have good grades because that will make your insurance much more affordable.
The best thing you can do to find cheap auto insurance is research. I would go online and compare a few quotes from different companies to see who offers you the best rate. You can then show your parent’s what you found and maybe they will agree to get you insurance so you can drive.
The site below is really helpful because it allows you to compare quotes for all of the insurance companies in your area for free so you can find the cheapest rate possible.
Good Luck!
I would suggest the auto club (AAA).
However, you are too young to be on your own policy. An insurance policy involves an application which is a legal binding document that you can not enter into unless you are 18. You will have to be added on to your parents policy and most likely the insurance company will not provide you a quote for the additional cost; your parents will have to call
You do qualify for a good student discount as long as you maintain a 3.0 GPA and stay in school full time. Also, let your parents know that insurance is less costly for females than for males. Good Luck!
Allstate Or Farmers(talk with their agents )
Really hard to say as car insurance is different with everyone. Even a zip code can vary the cost of the rates. Check this site out they have some great info and will give you quotes from some of the top providers in your area. Good Luck!
