Even if you get a low introductory rate… it will go up, so choose a company you trust. Things like driver’s ed, a parent with insurance at a company and a safe driving record can lower the premium a bit.
This is where the insurance companies get you over a barrel, they know by law you have to be covered and they can charge what they want. A lower premium is also granted for older cars, so an older cat would lower the rate, as well.
