Let me get this straight, you had insurance, you got in an accident, and instead of paying for the repairs the insurance company is offering to refund your premiums as though you never had insurance in the first place?
That’s way, way, way illegal. Tell them no-dice. Tell them they either pay for the damage or you’ll be calling the state insurance commissioner’s office to file a complaint and ask for legal advice. Be prepared to sue the scum out of this scumbag company.
If you did not have collision coverage, you are screwed. Be glad that they offered to refund your premium payment.
