It’s tagged and everything, just don’t see the point in paying for car insurance if it isn’t getting driven.
I live in GA so bogas answered my questions basically, lol.

We don’t drive it because it doesn’t work right now and I don’t plan to waste the money fixing it if we don’t need it. Might fix it in the future though.

I don’t know. But why have a car and not drive it? I’m just curious.
well it really depends on the state you live in but in most its as long as no one is driving it on the road or anywhere they you don’t need to have it
I think so in some states…
As long as you don’t drive it its not illegal. but it still a good idea to have it. For example someone runs into you car and then drives away – with out insurance you have to pay the damages your self…. or if the car gets vandalized or broke into – you have to pay for it your self.
If you have full coverage all you would have to do is pay your deductable. If you have the car in storage you can always get storage insurance in case its damaged there…… they have insurance for anything anymore.
But back to the point – it’s not illegal if you don’t drive it but its a good idea to have it.
This depends on the state that you live in and wear the car is plated. Like in GA if you have a plate on the car you need to have insurance. This also applies in a few other states like MA and FL. Now if you park a car on the street and do not drive it, the vehicle will need to have insurance. You may also have a city ordiordinancet may say that you can not have an unlicensed vehicle parked in you driveway.
Utimately call you local DMV.
It is if you keep tags on it.
You have to turn in the tags, and then you can cancel the insurance on it.
