Question by Machine: How can you negotiate with car insurance agency after a wreck if you have no insurance to cover other driver?
How can you negotiate with car insurance agency after a wreck that was caused by you if you have no insurance to cover the other driver? Are there any legal ramifications?
Best answer:
Answer by crookmatt
Basic liability insurance will cover the other driver up to your limit. Did you have any auto insurance? If not, you are in deep !#$ $ $ . If you do than it should already be covered.

A question from Devin M: How much is car insurance for older muscle cars?
I heard that car insurance is pretty expensive for older muscle cars, and I’d like to know around how much a month car insurance would be for a 1968 ford mustang?
Most comprehensive answer:
Answer by mad_mav70
I depends on what you plan to do with they car. If it’s a daily driver you’ll be stuck with liability, which is cheap. If you want classic car insurance you insure to the cars value and they limit your driving.

A question asked by Heywood Jablome: is classic car insurance better for a 1984 corvette or regular car insurance?
im planning on getting a 1984 corvette but the insurance for it is a little too high.i just found out about classic car insurance but i really don’t know much about it.but for classic car insurance,am i limited to a certain number of things like how far i can drive my car, when i can drive, etc?will the insurance actually be less or more for classic car insurance?and what is the best classic car insurance company i should go with?

Answer by SkyPilot
As the Corvette of 1984 is not a real classic or collectible special insurance isn’t necessary.

Question posed by Rico: What Mexico car insurance do you recommend from personal experience + prices?
I’m planning a trip to Guanajuato, Mexico and I need to get Mexico car insurance & the car permit. I want to try and take care of all that on line if possible or over the phone ahead of time. Does anyone have any personal experience and suggestions? I would like to get an idea from you on how much it should cost as well?
The best answer:
Answer by Charlie
I use the agency below…they handle several companies and I have found them to have best prices. I live in Mexico and pay by the year…and the ins. is a little over $ 300 a year…so short term ins. should be really cheap. Just call them…either office. Very nice people.

A question asked by Lena: How much do you pay for your car insurance?
I just bought a new car. A Honda fit, and my insurance went up $ 40 more per month. This is my first brand new car, and I am use to the insurance that comes with a used 7 year old car. I was wondering what others pay for their car insurance, and whether it is new or old. I hope I am not asking anything that people would feel uncomfortable with. I just want to see if I am being charged in the range of what I should.
The top answer:
Answer by R B
there are many variables involved with pricing so asking others what they pay can be misleading.
age, use of car, garage location, tickets, accidents, type of car, special equipment etc etc etc.
Typical full coverage cost for younger people can easily be over $ 1,000 a year for a newer vehicle and that assumes you live near a city and drive the car to and from work

Question posed by Alexander G: How does car insurance work when you get your license?
I am 15 years old. I know that you can get your permit when you are 15 and a half. I turn 15 and 6 months in March of 2010. First of all, I would also like to know how a permit works. I am an identical triplet, my mom cannot afford insurance for all of us. We have a 1985 BMW and we are preparing mechanical alternations on it. How can we all have car insurance to cover our payments?

Question posed by Kayley Robertson: How would a car insurance company know if i had a claim on previous insurance policy?
As above, i claimed on my existing car insurance policy about 2 years a go now. When getting new quotes they ask if i’ve had any claims in the past 3 years (which i have). But just wondering how would my new insurance company know either way if i put ‘no claims’. Surely if they were all on one database they wouldnt be asking me in the first place?! Would they check for any reason? And what would happen if i was found out? Thanks.

They share such information with one another. If you try lying about it they will also know that information, i.e. that you are a dishonest person.

Question by kiki: Am I required to get rental car insurance if I don’t have my own auto insurance?
I am planning to sell my car and cancel my auto insurance. If I want to rent a car, am I required to buy their rental car insurance, since I wouldn’t have any other auto insurance otherwise?
If I use my Discover card to rent the car, Discover will provide me with a Collision Damage Waiver of up to $ 25,000. Would that count as insurance?
