I’m 16 and I recently started driving. I own my own car but I do not have insurance. My parents do not have insurance and my mom siad that for me to be covered she would have to get insurance on all the drivers in the house on all the vehicles. She said I could pay it I’d like but that it would be about 0 a month.
Is it possible for me to get MY OWN coverage and not have to pay for the rest of the family.
Do they have special insurance discounts for illegal immigrants? I’ve gotten in 4 car accidents since I’ve been here and the people I hit seemed upset that I didn’t have insurance.
Thirty-four vehicles earn the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s TOP SAFETY PICK award for 2008. The award recognizes vehicles that do the best job of protecting people in front, side, and rear crashes based on ratings in the Institute’s tests. Winners also have to be equipped with electronic stability control (ESC), which research shows can significantly reduce the risk of crashing. Compared with last year, automakers have more than doubled the number of vehicles that meet criteria for TOP SAFETY PICK. At the beginning of the 2007 model year, 13 models qualified, but as manufacturers have made changes and introduced new and safer vehicle designs, 10 additional vehicles qualified during the year. Now another 11 vehicles are being added to the list for 2008. Designating winners based on the tests makes it easier for consumers to identify vehicles that afford the best overall protection without sifting through multiple sets of comparative crash test results. All current car and minivan models, small and midsize SUVs, and small and large pickup trucks are eligible to win TOP SAFETY PICK. Eight vehicles from Ford and its subsidiary, Volvo, make the list of winners for 2008. Seven winners are from Honda and its subsidiary, Acura. So basically I need to insure my car, it’s a old one worth about 2000 bucks, so I want the absolute bare minumum amount of insurance. Does anyone know any really cheap but legit car insurance companies? Oh and of course I’m 19 so that’ll raise the cost a whale of a lot.
I just bought a 96′ mustang and it has scissor doors. I am about to get my liscense so i am 16 and i want to know what car insurance company would be the most affordable for a basic coverage.
Bumpers, even those on expensive cars, don’t resist damage in low-speed impacts. The Infiniti G35, the worst performer, sustained almost 000 damage in a series of 4 tests conducted at 3 and 6 mph by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Saab 9-3 was the best, sustaining 43 damage. Only 3 cars sustained less than 00 damage, while 4 would cost more than 000 to fix. Why bumpers don’t bump: The purpose of a bumper is to absorb the energy of a low-speed collision before it damages expensive-to-repair parts like fenders and hoods. But there are multiple problems, the first of which is that the bumpers on colliding vehicles often don’t line up vertically so they don’t engage to begin with. Even some that do line up don’t stay engaged during an impact. Their aerodynamic styling may allow them to slide under the bumpers of the vehicles they strike. This means they can’t do the job of energy absorption. Another problem is that the bars underneath bumper covers, which are supposed to do the main work of absorbing crash energy, often aren’t up to it. They may not be big enough to provide much protection from damage, especially if they don’t extend to vehicle corners, or they may be too flimsy to absorb much energy. Something else driving high repair costs after minor bumps is the price of replacement parts to fix the damage. This is especially true of luxury cars, which are expensive not only to purchase but also to repair. To assess and compare bumper …
I was told to reduce my monthly car insurance payments a little I could remove that. I was told that your medical insurance would kick in to pay for any injuries, or if someone was with you theirs would kick in. They said that car insurance would be a secondary to your medical insurance. Has anyone ever got good use out of having this on their insurance policy??
